Zurich, ComfortDelGro unveil exclusive travel insurance
The insurance will be available through ComfortDelGro’s ride-hailing app.
Zurich Insurance (Singapore) partnered with ComfortDelGro to launch an exclusive travel insurance product, Zurich Travel Comfort.
The insurance will be available through ComfortDelGro’s ride-hailing app, CDG Zig, which has over 1 million monthly active users and more than 2 million unique users.
Zurich Travel Comfort offers coverage for travellers booking trips via the CDG Zig app, including up to $733.03 (S$1,000) reimbursement for travel disruptions caused by vehicle breakdowns on the way to Changi Airport.
Users purchasing policies of $11.00 (S$15) or more will receive a $3.67 (S$5) promo code for the CDG Zig app, valid whilst supplies last.
The product also provides additional features, such as real-time lounge access for flight delays exceeding two hours, 24/7 global emergency assistance, and coverage for non-competitive leisure activities.
“This collaboration between Zurich and ComfortDelGro is a prime example of how technology is transforming traditional insurance models,” Kenny Lok, Chief Executive Officer, ComfortDelGro Insurance, said in a press release.
“By embedding travel protection directly into a mobility platform, we're breaking down barriers and making insurance not just a purchase, but an intuitive part of the customer's journey,” Lok added.
