Zurich Cover-More CEO exits after acquisition

The executive led AIG Travel before the business moved under new ownership in December 2024.

Zurich Cover-More has announced the early retirement of Jeffrey C. Rutledge, CEO of the Travel Guard companies, effective 1 March.

Rutledge led AIG Travel and its Travel Guard subsidiaries for nearly 20 years. During his tenure, he oversaw the growth of the travel insurance and assistance business into a global franchise.

Zurich acquired AIG’s Personal Travel Insurance business in December 2024, bringing Travel Guard under Zurich Cover-More.

“It has truly been an honour to work with the Travel Guard team and our incredible global partners over many years, and to see the franchise now become a part of the Zurich Cover-More family,” Rutledge said in a press release.
