Zurich Insurance Group net income jumps 17% to $7b
P&C business operating profit rose 22% to $5.1b.
Zurich Insurance Group’s fiscal year 2025 net income attributable to shareholders climbed 17% year-on-year (YoY) to $6.8b.
The group’s earnings per share stood at $45.13, climbing 13% YoY.
In property & casualty (P&C), business operating profit (BOP) increased 22% to $5.1b. The combined ratio improved to 92.6%.
Gross written premiums (GWP) exceeded $50b for the first time, rising 5% on a like-for-like basis.
Life BOP rose 2% to $2.3b. Excluding prior-year one-offs, underlying growth was 10%.
Life GWP increased 7% on a like-for-like basis, whilst the contractual service margin (CSM) reached an all-time high.
