Zurich unveils new CFO, Quinn to step down
Claudia Cordioli will succeed George Quinn, the current Group CFO, who has chosen to step down after a decade of service.
Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) has announced the appointment of Claudia Cordioli as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Committee, effective from 1 March 2024, pending regulatory approval.
Cordioli will succeed George Quinn, the current Group CFO, who has chosen to step down after a decade of service. Quinn will oversee the finalisation of Zurich's 2023 Annual Results and ensure a seamless transition.
Cordioli brings a wealth of experience from her tenure at Swiss Re, two decades, where she held various roles in finance and the broader business.

In her most recent position as Group Finance Director, she oversaw core finance functions and led the Group's transition to IFRS 17. From 2020 to 2022, she served as the CFO of the Reinsurance business unit.
Prior to that, Cordioli held the position of Head of Western & Southern Europe, managing Swiss Re's reinsurance activities across 15 countries.
Before joining Swiss Re, she gained experience in several consulting firms, including KPMG. Cordioli is recognised as a Fellow of the Aspen Institute Finance Leaders Fellowship and is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
