AIA Singapore extends COVID-19 benefits

Its IP coverage for vaccine complications now include those approved by WHO under EUL.

AIA Singapore will extend its Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) coverage and free COVID-19 special coverage, an announcement read.

Its IP coverage for COVID-19 vaccination complications will now include the use of vaccine(s) approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO) under its Emergency Use Listing (EUL) and administered in Singapore under the Special Access Route (SAR).

This special IP coverage will be provided until 31 December 2021.

AIA’s free COVID-19 special coverage for its 2.6 million customers will also be extended until 31 December 2021, including AIA staff and their dependents, as well as insurance representatives.

All eligible customers will automatically benefit from additional insurance cover with immediate effect. This includes new customers whose policies are issued between 1 January to 30 November.
