Aon names new Asia CEO of reinsurance solutions

Soeren Soltysiak will oversee the strategy in Asia, which includes treaty, facultative, analytics, and operations.

Aon plc has named Soeren Soltysiak as its new Asia CEO of Reinsurance Solutions, effective 1 April 2025.

Through his regional experience, Aon said Soltysiak will be responsible for driving the firm’s Asia reinsurance strategy across treaty, facultative, analytics, and operations to tap opportunities in the market.

Soltysiak is based in Singapore and will report to George Attard, APAC CEO of Reinsurance Solutions at Aon.

The new Aon executive previously served as the company’s strategic growth leader, APAC Reinsurance Solutions, where he played a critical role in driving growth strategies in the region.

Aon also named Musa Adlan as managing director, Asia, for Reinsurance Solutions. Adlan will expand his current responsibilities to develop and refine Reinsurance Solutions’ Asia growth and product segmentation strategy, working closely with Soltysiak and product leaders across the region.

Adlan will continue as head of Southeast Asia Reinsurance Solutions, and will report to Soltysiak.

Other appointments include Pierre Vende and Danny Alexander being named co-heads of life and health Reinsurance Solutions; Soojin Kim and Cindy Gu as co-heads of retrocession APAC for Reinsurance Solutions; and Tom Drake as chairman of Reinsurance Solutions Speciality, APAC.
