AXA HK floats free PA protection to boost tourism, COVID vaccine

Those aged between six months to 85 years can avail of the programme.

AXA Hong Kong has launched a free personal accident protection coverage up to HK$600,000 ($77,300) to support local tourism and encourage citizens to get vaccinated.

Starting 1 July to 31 December 2021, Hong Kong citizens aged between six months to 85 years old who have joined any registered local group tours organised by a licensed travel agent, and have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine under the government's COVID-19 Vaccination Programme before the start of the tour, can avail of the free protection.

Vaccinated participants' companions in the tour who are below the minimum eligible age for vaccination are also eligible, as well as tour escorts, guides, and drivers who have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Since 2021, AXA has been launching inoculation initiatives, such as the first-in-market post-vaccination protection programme and the free double post-vaccination protection programme.
