HSBC names Kate Subak as new CEO of HSBC Insurance (Bermuda)

She was previously COO of Sun Life International in Bermuda.

HSBC has appointed Kate Subak as chief executive officer of HSBC Insurance (Bermuda) and HSBC Life (Bermuda).

Subak will manage the operations of all of HSBC’s insurance entities in Bermuda. This includes leading the execution of the bank’s high net worth insurance strategy, and leading end-to-end delivery of its captive reinsurance services.

Subak most recently served as chief operating officer at Sun Life International in Bermuda, overseeing IT, insurance, and wealth operations.

In her new role with HSBC, Subak directly reports to Winnie Ching, global chief product and in-force officer, Insurance, HSBC Group.

She also previously held senior roles at McKinsey & Company and Salomon Brothers.
