QBE names Andy Tsui as corporate underwriting head for Hong Kong, Macau

He will also lead the insurer’s People Risk proposition across Asia.

QBE has appointed Andy Tsui as head of underwriting, corporate for Hong Kong and Macau, and Asia head of People Risk, effective 1 June 2026.

Based in Hong Kong, Tsui will report to Lei Yu, chief executive officer of North Asia at QBE.

In his Hong Kong and Macau role, Tsui is expected to hold local underwriting authority across all corporate product lines. He will also work with QBE’s regional chief underwriting officer's office and product heads to oversee underwriting performance, operations, and strategy.

As the Asia head of People Risk, Tsui will lead the firm’s new integrated proposition that combines insurance, risk insights, and advisory. The offering will cover workplace injury management, employee compensation, and health-related exposures.

Tsui has more than 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, with expertise in underwriting, actuarial, portfolio management, and strategic leadership across Asia-Pacific.
