Sun Life Singapore unveils life insurance product for HNW clients

It offers an indexed account linked to the S&P 500 index performance.

Sun Life Singapore has launched the SunBrilliance Indexed Universal Life, aimed to cater to the needs of affluent, high net worth (HNW) and ultra high net worth (UHNW) client segments of the Lion City.

Apart from lifetime protection coverage, SunBrilliance Indexed Universal Life also offers an indexed account linked to the S&P 500 index performance, with the possibility of an additional 20% of the index return, the insurer said.

It also offers downside protection with 0% per annum floor on the indexed account return, and a minimum guaranteed 2.5% per annum crediting rate for the fixed account in the first 20 years providing peace of mind.

Availing of the Legacy Plus will also allow the death benefit to be paid out in annual installments of up to 10 years. 

This makes Sun Life Singapore the first and only life insurer in the city to offer this unique benefit option.

“We believe that this will enrich and deepen wealth planning, philanthropic and charitable-giving conversations,” the insurer said in a press statement.

In conjunction with the launch of SunBrilliance Indexed Universal Life, Sun Life Singapore has also announced its inaugural Philanthropic Pledge in partnership with Community Chest.
