Zurich and Hong Kong Airlines launch integrated travel coverage

The Zurich HKA Travel Insurance Plan is now available as an add-on when booking flights.

Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) and Hong Kong Airlines have introduced a new travel insurance product designed to streamline the booking and coverage process for passengers.

The Zurich HKA Travel Insurance Plan is now available as an add-on when booking flights through the airline’s website or mobile app.

The new plan is intended to provide convenience by allowing customers to secure travel insurance at the same time as their flight, without needing to visit a separate provider or platform.

The insurance plan comes in three tiers—Protect Plan, Lite Plan, and Gofly Plan—and includes coverage for medical expenses (up to $750,000), trip cancellations or interruptions (up to $20,000), and personal belongings (up to $10,000).

Members of the airline’s Fortune Wings  Club may also access an additional $100,000 in personal accident coverage, depending on the selected tier.

Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) stated that the integrated approach aims to simplify the customer journey and enhance access to travel protection. According to the company, the process of purchasing insurance through the platform can be completed in under five minutes.

Hong Kong Airlines noted that the initiative supports its broader plans to expand its international presence and provide additional options for passenger protection.
