MetLife Korea bags Customer Service Initiative of the Year - Korea at Insurance Asia Awards 2024

Life insurance company MetLife Korea secured the win in the Customer Service Initiative of the Year - Korea category at the prestigious Insurance Asia Awards 2024 for 360Future, its holistic retirement solution. 360Future helps customers prepare for retirement earlier and supports them better as they age with a combination of retirement savings, insurance, health, wealth, and life care services.

360Future differentiates itself from the market with specialised services for elderly care, including for dementia and other senile diseases. These services are extended not only to customers but also to their families. This solution can be used to support the parents of the primary holder and extend it to themselves after they retire.

MetLife Korea offers innovative services not easily found in traditional insurance companies. Key services include chat-based personal assistant service, AI healthcare for pets, private travel service, and free caregiver support. The personal assistant service is a service for seniors who are digitally challenged, where an assistant takes care of their needs in real-time, such as shopping, searching for the best price, and making reservations. It is the most popular service amongst customers. Pet AI Health Management is a technology that takes pictures of a pet's eyes, ears, skin, etc. with a cell phone camera and provides health reports by identifying abnormal signs of disease through AI technology. To provide this service, MetLife Korea has partnered with an innovative company with animal medical patents.

Previously, services like these have only been available to those with a certain amount of insurance coverage. However, 360Future allows anyone becoming a MetLife customer to access over 20 retirement-related services, even with a small-sized insurance policy. If customers purchase additional policies, they also gain access to over 10 higher-level premium services.

With the launch of 360Future, MetLife Korea has become the first insurance company to provide customers with services ranging from retirement preparation to post-retirement life care. “MetLife Korea is committed to being customers’ insurance partner for life, helping to care for them at whatever stage of life they may be,” it said.
