MSIG Insurance names new financial lines head for SG and HK

The new head is also recognised as a pioneer in cyber insurance.

MSIG Insurance has named Andrew Taylor as Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Lines for Singapore and Hong Kong, a new title created for the role.

Taylor will be based in Singapore, and will report to Mack Eng, CEO of MSIG Singapore, and Philip Kent, CEO of MSIG Hong Kong. Taylor will be responsible for the general insurer’s profitable growth of the business within the region including the growth markets, leveraging on MSIG’s established distribution channels.

Taylor has over 20 years of international experience in the general insurance industry, spanning London, Australia and across Asia, where he is recognized as a pioneer in the Cyber Insurance space. Besides Cyber Insurance, the veteran also specialises in Professional Indemnity and Technology E&O classes within the Financial Lines.

MSIG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co Ltd and a member of the MS&AD Insurance Group, Asia's leading general insurance brand with presence in 50 countries and regions globally.
