Canopius partners with Group-IB for cyber insurance boost

It aims to provide Canopius policyholders with advanced threat intelligence.

Canopius Group, a specialty (re)insurer, has partnered with Group-IB, a cybersecurity technology creator, to enhance its cyber insurance offering. 

This collaboration, the first full-service partnership between Group-IB and a Lloyd's of London syndicate, aims to provide Canopius policyholders with advanced threat intelligence, including real-time notifications and tailored risk mitigation strategies.

The company said through this partnership, Canopius underwriters gain enhanced capabilities for assessing cyber risks, enabling more precise coverage and cost-effective solutions for clients.

Group-IB's expertise is said to supplement Canopius' existing threat intelligence function, providing data on adversary intelligence, vulnerabilities, malware, and dark web visibility.

“As cyber threats evolve in complexity and unpredictability, threat intelligence is crucial for building resilience against both current and future threats.” Dmitry Volkov, CEO of Group-IB, said in a press release.
