Marsh Specialty welcomes new president

He has more than 35 years of service at Marsh.

Marsh has appointed Andrew George as President of Marsh Specialty, effective immediately.

Based in London, he will report to Marsh President and CEO Martin South.  

The company also announced that John Donnelly, President of Global Placement, will now report to South and relocate from London to New York in the coming months. 

Both George and Donnelly will join the Marsh Executive Committee.  

George will oversee Marsh Specialty’s global business, which includes Aviation, Climate & Sustainability, Construction, Credit Specialties, Energy & Power, Financial and Professional Lines (FINPRO), Marine & Cargo, and Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions (PEMA) practices.  

With more than 35 years of experience at Marsh, George previously held leadership roles in the company’s Energy Practice across various regions. 

He was appointed Global Chairman of the Energy Practice in 2012, later expanding his role to lead the Energy & Power Practice in 2015.
