Ping An P&C, FAW Hongqi launch intelligent driving protection services

Ping An P&C developed the first full-scenario solution for intelligent driving.

Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance (Ping An P&C), a subsidiary of Ping An Insurance Group of China, has partnered with FAW Hongqi Auto Sales to launch the Hongqi Intelligent Driving Protection Services. 

The new service aims to enhance travel safety and support the growth of the intelligent vehicle industry. Ping An P&C and FAW Hongqi are working together to develop insurance models for intelligent vehicles, including building a risk database and upgrading protection solutions.

Ping An P&C has developed the industry's first full-scenario solution for intelligent driving.

This protection covers intelligent driving liability and other emerging risks, including automated parking, remote control parking, valet parking, and various traffic lane cruise control scenarios. 

One example is the Hongqi Tian Gong 08, a new energy vehicle featuring ultra-low-temperature battery technology that retains 93% battery energy at -10°C. 

To address potential power battery failures in cold conditions, Ping An P&C has designed a compensation plan that includes coverage for replacement vehicle costs during repairs.
