Singlife launches shared accident coverage for families
The insurer said this is the first personal accident insurance plan in the market.
Singlife has launched Singlife Family Accident Care, which allows up to six family members to share a coverage amount of either $380,996 (S$500,000) or $760,000 (S$1m) for accidental death and dismemberment.
The insurer said this is the first personal accident insurance plan in the Singapore market offering a shared coverage limit for families.
Families adding children to the policy are eligible for a premium discount of up to 50%.
Singlife also introduced Singlife Accident Care, a personal accident plan for individuals with coverage limits of up to S$3m. The plan provides protection up to 99 years of age.
Both products offer additional benefits, including a Life Stage Event Benefit that provides a lump sum payout for accidental death or total and permanent disability occurring 12 months after a significant life event.
They also include an Annual Leave Compensation Benefit, offering S$100 per day if a caregiver must take annual leave after four or more days of the insured’s hospitalisation.
Coverage extends to incidents such as food poisoning, 21 infectious diseases, and injuries from recreational sports.
