Howden appoints new managing director, head of M&A for India

She has more than 20 years of experience.

Howden has appointed Mandira Gupta as managing director and head of M&A for India, the Middle East, and Africa (IMEA). 

Based in Mumbai, she will lead Howden’s private equity and transactional risk insurance solutions in the region.

Gupta joins Howden from Marsh India Insurance Broking, where she led the Private Equity and M&A (PEMA) practice and headed the Transaction Risk (TR) segment across India, the Middle East, and Africa. 

She has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, including over a decade in M&A insurance and nine years in investment banking in India and London.

She is credited with building India’s TR practice and has worked on several of the country’s most complex and high-value transactions. 

At Howden, she will focus on developing tailored insurance solutions for key deals across the region.
