Vietnam digitises unemployment insurance process to boost service access
The procedure applies to regional and district-level social security office.
The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) said it digitised the procedure for receiving unemployment insurance, boosting digital capabilities in the country.
Grounded in the Law on Employment and related regulations, the procedure applies to regional and district-level social security offices and covers unemployment benefits, vocational training support, and employee retention assistance.
It outlines steps such as electronic application submission, payment list creation, document verification, and in some cases, advance disbursement.
Departments of Home Affairs, Employment Service Centers, vocational institutions, and employers are authorised to submit applications. VSS has assigned key departments to implement the new system and directed regional offices to ensure compliance with the new process.
