QBE launches minor car damage coverage in the Philippines

It allows car owners to get small cosmetic repairs without a claim.

QBE Automotive Protection has launched SMART Protect in the Philippines, offering coverage for minor car damage like dents and scratches.

The product, available through Paramount Life and General Insurance Corporation, allows vehicle owners to get small cosmetic repairs done without needing an accident claim or paying a deductible.

Albert Chow, QBE’s general manager for Asia, said the product is designed for long-term car owners and builds on QBE’s success in other Asian markets.

The launch comes as vehicle sales are up 10.4% year-on-year at the start of 2025.
