APRA executive director Beverley-Smith resigns for regulated entity role

The regulator said it will begin the process to appoint a permanent replacement.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) said Carmen Beverley-Smith has resigned as Executive Director for Life Insurance, Private Health Insurance and Superannuation to take up a senior role at a regulated entity.

Her departure takes effect immediately.

APRA said Peter Kohlhagen, General Manager of the Life Insurance, Private Health Insurance and Superannuation division, will act as Executive Director on an interim basis.

The regulator said it will begin the process to appoint a permanent replacement as soon as possible.
