Zurich Cover-More taps Ford to drive Asia travel expansion

Ford keeps his Zurich APAC partnerships post while taking Asia travel leadership.

Zurich Cover-More has appointed Jon Ford as head of Asia and Tricia Lim as head of Commercial Operations and Delivery, Asia, as it expands its travel insurance business in the region.

Ford, who is currently head of Partnerships for Zurich APAC, will retain his existing role whilst taking on responsibility for leading the Asia travel division. 

Based in Singapore, he will work with Matthew Reilly, Chief Operating Officer, Zurich APAC, and Donna Dorairajoo, head of International at Zurich Cover-More.

He has more than 25 years of experience across insurance, technology and consulting. Ford previously served as Vice President and Regional head of Partnership Distribution at Chubb in Asia Pacific. 

He also led strategic regional partnerships at Accenture and Navitaire across Asia Pacific. He joined Zurich APAC in 2022. 

In his new role, he will focus on growing partnerships and supporting the travel business across key Asian markets.

Lim will work with Ford to grow Zurich Cover-More’s travel business in Asia.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and travel sectors and has been with Travel Guard in Asia for over two years.

As head of Commercial Operations and Delivery, Asia, she will oversee operations, regulatory compliance, and platform and partnership delivery across the region. 

She will also be responsible for maintaining customer service standards and ensuring business continuity as the business expands.
