Aon appoints Attard global head of reinsurance analytics

His focus will be the development of tools to help insurers manage market volatility.

Aon Plc has appointed George Attard as the global head of analytics for Reinsurance Solutions, in addition to his existing role as chief strategy officer for the same unit.

In his expanded capacity, Attard will oversee more than 1,000 reinsurance analytics professionals.

His primary focus will be the development of tools to help insurers manage market volatility and optimise capital throughout the industry cycle.

As part of this leadership structure, Paul Shedden will continue as global head of advanced risk analytics.

Shedden remains responsible for Aon’s firm-wide analytics strategy across all business lines.

He is expected to work with Attard to align reinsurance innovations with the company's broader technological roadmap.
