Ping An Home targets post-claim insurance model
Ping An said the service shifts insurance toward full-lifecycle health support.
Ping An Insurance has launched a new health management service brand, "Ping An Home", as part of its strategy to expand services beyond traditional insurance coverage and meet growing demand for healthy ageing in China.
The service, developed by Ping An Life and Ping An Good Doctor, focuses on proactive health management through support for diet, sleep and exercise.
It combines smart device monitoring, medical support and ongoing health management to help users adopt healthier lifestyles and prevent illness.
Ping An said the service aims to shift insurance from post-event financial compensation to full-lifecycle health support. It forms part of the group's broader "Integrated Finance + Health and Senior Care" strategy.
Services under Ping An Home include disease and medication management, lifestyle guidance, specialist appointment assistance, medical accompaniment services, rehabilitation support, global medical consultations, medication access services and smart home protection solutions.
Separately, PKU Healthcare Group, a Ping An subsidiary, has partnered with Fudan University and Zhongshan Hospital to establish the Joint Research Centre of Longevity Medicine.
The centre will focus on ageing risk assessment, precision health interventions and digital health management throughout a person's life.
