PT. Zurich Asuransi Indonesia, Tbk. won the Health Insurance Initiative of the Year - Indonesia at the Insurance Asia Awards 2026 for adopting digital solutions and reimagining every touchpoint in digital innovation, customer-centric solutions, and operational excellence, enabling more seamless, accessible, and future-ready health insurance.
Amongst the digital solutions it has implemented is the Medicillin App, which enables clients to access policy benefits, submit claims, locate healthcare providers, view their e-card, and connect with telemedicine partners. The upgraded Medicillin App 2.0, shaped by user feedback, also features real-time benefit updates, enhanced notifications, and bilingual support, making health insurance services more convenient and accessible for users.
Beyond customer experience, Zurich Indonesia has successfully streamlined operational processes through the adoption of digital onboarding, e-enrolment, workflow automation, and self-service HR reporting capabilities. These initiatives have also significantly improved efficiency, reducing onboarding times from ten to five working days whilst making insurance services more convenient.
Zurich Indonesia has also strengthened its product propositions through flexible, modular health insurance solutions that can be tailored to changing customer needs. For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), new underwriting tools have reduced quotation turnaround times from several days to just one day, whilst streamlined onboarding processes have accelerated policy implementation. Partnerships with global employee benefits providers have also expanded coverage options for multinational clients.
Zurich Indonesia has further enhanced its underwriting capabilities through advanced analytics and automation. The Health Cube dashboard, in particular, consolidates health data to support accurate risk assessment, real-time analysis, and data-driven pricing decisions. These capabilities enable Zurich Indonesia to respond more effectively to changing healthcare trends whilst maintaining product flexibility and competitiveness in the market.
Recognising that health insurance extends beyond financial protection, Zurich Indonesia has developed a broader wellness ecosystem through digital partnerships, telemedicine, workplace health facilities, and preventive care initiatives. These initiatives help customers proactively manage health risks whilst supporting more sustainable healthcare utilisation and better long-term health outcomes.
