TISA Insurance Group wins four honours at Insurance Asia Awards 2026

The Group was recognised in  Papua New Guinea and Fiji for insurance, bancassurance, and partnerships.

TISA Insurance Group has been recognised with four prestigious honours at the Insurance Asia Awards 2026, reinforcing its position as one of the Pacific’s leading insurers and highlighting the strength of its operations across Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

The awards span general insurance, bancassurance and strategic partnerships, reflecting the breadth of the Group’s strategy and its commitment to delivering sustainable growth, expanding financial inclusion, and creating lasting value for customers, partners, and communities.

The Group received the following awards: Domestic General Insurer of the Year - Papua New Guinea, Strategic Partnership of the Year - Papua New Guinea, International General Insurer of the Year - Fiji, and Bancassurance Initiative of the Year - Fiji.

TISA Insurance Fiji received the Bancassurance Initiative of the Year – Fiji award for its partnership with Merchant Finance, Fiji’s largest finance company.

The partnership integrates insurance into the lending journey, enabling customers to access motor and home insurance and, in the future, Mortgage Protection Insurance (MPI), making the customer journey more accessible, convenient, and relevant to everyday life.

The partnership also reflects the close collaboration between the teams at TISA Insurance and Merchant Finance, who worked together to design a solution that is practical for customers whilst supporting responsible lending and improved financial protection.

The partnership provides a scalable platform capable of expanding into additional products, customer segments, and distribution channels.

Strategic partnerships improving healthcare access

TISA Insurance Papua New Guinea received the Strategic Partnership of the Year – Papua New Guinea award for its collaboration with CPL Pharmacy.

The partnership introduces direct billing for prescription medications, enabling policyholders to obtain essential medicines without paying upfront and significantly reducing out-of-pocket healthcare costs.

With more than 35 CPL Pharmacy outlets nationwide, customers benefit from extensive geographic reach and a seamless experience that removes the need for separate claims processes at the point of care.

The initiative demonstrates how strategic partnerships can simultaneously improve customer outcomes and deliver commercial value. By expanding access to affordable healthcare whilst strengthening financial protection, the partnership is helping narrow Papua New Guinea’s healthcare protection gap and reinforcing the role of insurance as an essential part of everyday life.

Behind the initiative is close cooperation between healthcare professionals, pharmacy teams, and insurance specialists, ensuring customers receive a simpler, faster, and more accessible healthcare experience.
