Sun Life appoints Lee Sarkin to lead Asia AI push
He will take up the Hong Kong-based role on 1 September.
Sun Life has appointed Lee Sarkin as vice-president for data and artificial intelligence (AI) in Asia, effective 1 September.
Based in Hong Kong, Sarkin will lead Sun Life Asia's data and AI function and oversee the rollout of priority AI initiatives across the region.
He will focus on expanding practical AI applications to support decision-making and provide faster, simpler and more consistent experiences for clients and advisers.
Sarkin will also oversee the development of data platforms and governance frameworks to support the safe and consistent adoption of AI across Sun Life's Asian markets.
His responsibilities will include strengthening the use of data in day-to-day decision-making and integrating AI into core business processes.
Sarkin joins Sun Life from Munich Re Life & Health, where he served as regional chief analytics officer, overseeing AI and analytics across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
He has more than 20 years of experience in data, analytics, AI and actuarial work across life and health primary insurance and reinsurance.
