Prudential Singapore rolls out insurance product for critical illness

‘PRUtriple protect’ offers a payout as high as $6.74m.

Prudential Singapore unveiled a standalone insurance term product offering a payout as high as $6.74m (S$9m) for a total of 36 critical illnesses including cancer. 

‘PRUtriple protect’ promises protection of up to three times the basic coverage. The plan also has a feature restoring the basic coverage to the original amount after a claim has been made.

If customers are diagnosed with a different critical illness twelve months after the last claim, they remain covered under the plan until three times of the plan’s basic coverage has been utilised.

“With PRUtriple protect, our customers can have peace of mind knowing that they would be able to meet their financial commitments and maintain their lifestyle needs when recovering from a health crisis,” said Prudential Singapore head of protection Theresa Wu.

“Such protection is important as we know the chances of one recovering from a critical illness has become higher with the advent of medical technology.”

PRUtriple protect also offers an optional rider, Early Protector, to provide coverage for pre-critical stages of a critical illnesses of up to 106 medical conditions.
