RHB launches mobile app for motor insurance and road tax

Users can purchase motor insurance policies within three minutes.

RHB Insurance Berhad has launched a mobile app allowing users to easily purchase motor insurance policies within three minutes.

In addition to obtaining a quotation for motor insurance policies, RHB Insurance Mobile App also gives users the option to renew their road tax through the app as well as access round-the-clock assistance for their vehicles at one touch of their smartphone screens.

Motor insurance accounted for over a third (33%) of the company’s total gross premiums in Q4.

“We are confident the RHB Insurance Mobile App will be a catalyst in transforming the way customers purchase and monitor their insurance as well as roadtax renewal with just a single app,” said Kong Shu Yin, managing director, RHB Insurance Berhad. “This effort is in line with our digital transformation programme focusing on delivering value-added interactions, which will empower our customers.”

He adds that the company is targeting to generate 10% of its gross written premiums from the digital channel in three to five years.
