AIA appoints Alvin Fu as new chief distribution officer

He succeeds Chin Chung Wan, who is retiring.

AIA Singapore has named Alvin Fu as its new chief distribution officer, effective 1 May.

Fu is currently the insurer’s chief corporate solution officer. Kenneth Tan will assume this role on 1 May.

Fu first joined AIA in December 2015 and has served as chief corporate solutions officer since then. He reportedly helped elevate AIA to become the largest employee benefits insurance provider in Singapore, according to the press announcement.

He succeeds Chin Chung Wen, who is retiring at end-April after over 30 years with AIA Singapore.

Tan, meanwhile, joined AIA in February 2016, and is currently the head of business underwriting and operations for corporate solutions. He has reportedly developed “expertise and business acumen in product pricing, development, valuation, strategy and portfolio management” for AIA’s health and corporate solutions portfolios, the insurer said.
