Alfred Sham becomes interim CEO of Howden, new appointments in financial lines and M&A
Charles Yim and Hui Ling Wong joined as Associate Director, Financial Lines and Regional Director, M&A, respectively.
Howded announced Alfred Sham as the new interim CEO for its Hong Kong operations. Alongside, Charles Yim and Hui Ling Wong joined as Associate Director, Financial Lines and Regional Director, M&A, respectively.
Both will report directly to Sham, effective immediately.
Sham, who has been with Howden since 2013, has played a significant role in the company's growth in the region, especially in M&A. He has been a part of the Hong Kong Board of Directors since 2018 and offers deep industry and group knowledge.

Mark Johnson, the outgoing CEO of Howden Hong Kong, will assist with the transition until spring before joining a major insurance company in Hong Kong.
These strategic appointments emphasized Howden's dedication to enhancing skills and expertise for the benefit of its regional and multinational clients.
Yim, joining from Teneo where he was Associate Director, Financial Advisory, has a background in private equity M&A and consulting.
Wong, coming from Fusion Specialty as a Senior Partner, has over 16 years of experience in legal and insurance, including her role as Head of Transaction Liability, Asia at Aon.
