Allianz Asia Pacific appoints new regional head

Former regional CEO Solmaz Altin has decided to leave the company after 13 years.

Allianz announced that Anusha Thavarajah will take on the position of regional chief executive officer of Allianz Asia Pacific.

Thavarajah will succeed Solmaz Altin, who has decided to leave the company after 13 years.

Currently working as Allianz Asia Pacific’s regional CEO of life & health, Thavarajah was formerly with AIA Malaysia before joining Allianz in December 2019. She has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, having served in various senior leadership roles in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Malaysia, and was president of the Malaysia Life Insurance Association.

The appointment will take effect on 1 December.
