Allianz Commercial names Nina Simons as global head of MidCorp underwriting

Simons has been with Allianz for 15 years.

Allianz Commercial has appointed Nina Simons as the new global head of MidCorp Underwriting, effective 1 July 2025.

Simons is tasked with shaping and executing the insurer’s global underwriting strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to drive growth and manage risks.

She will oversee underwriting governance, support transformation initiatives, and ensure alignment across teams.

Simons has worked at Allianz and Allianz SE for over 15 years.

Simmons will report to Vanessa Maxwell, chief underwriting officer, Allianz Commercial.
