Allianz Partners names new head of insurer network

He joined Allianz Consulting as a senior advisor in 2023.

Allianz Partners has appointed Ivan Komandnyi as head of Insurer Network Management within its health business. 

He will report to David Myers, Global head of Sales and Key Account Management for Health and Benefits.

In his new role, Komandnyi will manage the Allianz Health and Benefits Network, which brings together insurer partnerships from Allianz Global Benefits and Allianz Partners. 

He will oversee relationships with local insurance companies worldwide to support the delivery of integrated life and health insurance, pensions, and other employee benefits tailored to customer needs.

Komandnyi has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on health insurance. 

He began his career at KPMG and spent over a decade at Allianz Russia, where he held senior roles including Chief Sales Officer. 

He later became Chief Health Officer at a major local insurer, managing an employee benefits portfolio valued at more than $1.14b (€1b). 

He joined Allianz Consulting as a senior advisor in 2023 before moving to Allianz Partners in early 2024 as Programme Manager for the Health and Benefits Programme.
