Allianz Partners reshuffles board to drive travel growth
Phil Hoffman takes the travel post from 15 April pending regulatory clearance.
Allianz Partners has announced two appointments to its board of management as part of efforts to support its growth strategy.
Phil Hoffman has been named Chief Officer Travel and a member of the board of management, effective 15 April, subject to regulatory approval.
He will report to Chief Executive Tomas Kunzmann and will oversee the expansion of the company’s travel business.
Hoffman has nearly two decades of experience within the Allianz Group.
Since 2019, he has served as chief financial officer of Allianz Direct, where he led financial operations, set up finance, risk, legal and compliance functions, and supported the launch of a pan-European direct insurance platform.
He also oversaw the consolidation into a single European risk carrier and several mergers and acquisitions.
He replaces Anna Kofoed, who was appointed Chief Officer for Global Strategic Partnerships and a board member in January 2026.
Kofoed joined Allianz Partners in 2023 from Amadeus. She spent more than 20 years at the travel technology company in various global leadership roles across marketing, sales, strategy and business planning.
During her time leading the travel business at Allianz Partners, she focused on airlines and banks, introduced new products, and expanded digital engagement, contributing to revenue growth.
In her new role, Kofoed succeeds Jean-Marc Pailhol, who has moved to a position focused on developing insurance and assistance products for high-net-worth individuals.
