Allianz Trade reels in new ASEAN commercial director

His role begins on 21 October.

Allianz Trade has appointed Harry Edwards as ASEAN commercial director, effective 21 October.

In his new role, Edwards will oversee commercial activities across six ASEAN countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

He takes over from Céline Peredy, who has been appointed Strategic Account director for Allianz Trade for Multinationals. Edwards will be based in Singapore.

Edwards joined Allianz Trade in 2015 as a New Business underwriter in London.

After more than six years in that position, he moved to Dubai, where he became head of Portfolio for the Middle East, responsible for account management and commercial underwriting across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Most recently, he served as head of Distribution, focusing on sales activation, strategy, and product awareness in the Middle East. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Newcastle University.
