Aon taps Jeff Plein as COO for APAC

He will be a part of the Aon Asia-Pacific Executive Committee.

Aon has appointed Jeff Plein as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Asia-Pacific region, effective from 11 September. 

Reporting to Mindy Simon, the Global COO, and Anne Corona, CEO of Asia Pacific, Plein will be based in Singapore and will be a part of the Aon Asia-Pacific Executive Committee and the Aon Business Services Global Leadership Team.

Plein takes over from Bill Hooper, who is set to become the global COO of Commercial Risk Solutions and will relocate to the United Kingdom later this year.

In his new role, Plein will collaborate closely with regional and global teams to facilitate growth and enhance the client experience.

He will be responsible for shaping and executing all aspects of the Asia-Pacific operating model.

Before joining Aon, Plein served as the Managing Director and Asia Pacific Head of Securities Services Operations at Citibank since 2018. 

He brings with him experience from senior roles at Fullerton Fund Management, BlackRock, and Pacific Investment Management Company.
