AXA HK, Macau venture into cross-border healthcare service

It has partnered with UMP Healthcare Holdings to expand its reach to clinic services in China.

AXA Hong Kong and Macau have entered into a strategic partnership with UMP Healthcare Holdings to provide premium cross-border medical and healthcare services to customers.

This marks AXA's entry into expanding its general practitioner clinic services to mainland China, specifically in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The partnership leverages UMP's medical networks, covering key cities in the GBA and other major mainland cities.

Eligible customers can enjoy cashless services at designated mainland clinics, access cross-border specialist referrals, and arrange medical transportation for further treatment in Hong Kong.

AXA plans to expand its medical network in mainland China to offer a comprehensive range of cross-border healthcare services.

This includes the issuance of referral letters to specialists, assistance with scheduling appointments, access to diagnostic image examinations, and the availability of day surgery centres.

In cases of urgent medical attention, the partnership offers cross-border medical transportation services for customers to receive treatment or examinations at designated specialists or private hospitals within the Hong Kong medical network.

The focus on oncology services, covering examination, diagnosis, treatments, and rehabilitation, is emphasised, with the entire process overseen by a specialist medical team in Hong Kong.
