Insurtech company bolttech to introduce the country's first home appliance switching service alongside LOTTE HIMART, an electronic goods retailer in South Korea.
Powered by bolttech's embedded insurance technology, the service allows LOTTE HIMART customers to easily replace purchased items through an online portal that facilitates replacement requests for mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and personal computers across 350 stores in South Korea.
Customers can register up to four devices per category, and there are no brand restrictions on the new products.

Initially available for specific electronic devices, LOTTE HIMART aims to expand the service to include large home and kitchen appliances.
The collaboration aligns with bolttech's focus on offering more choice and convenience to customers in protecting their devices.
The service includes an annual subscription fee starting at $30, with an extended warranty option for up to three years from the purchase date.
