Cheche and Tokio Marine boost China insurance ties

Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance was the first Japanese insurer to enter China.

Cheche Group has partnered with Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Company (China) (TMNCH) to expand its partnerships with insurance providers in the Chinese market.

TMNCH, a subsidiary of Japan's Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, was the first Japanese insurer to enter China.

The company provides primary coverage and reinsurance across several areas, including property, liability, guaranty, and short-term health insurance.

Cheche’s CEO, Lei Zhang, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting the potential for innovation and the strengthening of its position as a leader in China's auto insurance sector.

The partnership will focus on developing insurance products and services, along with sales strategies that benefit both traditional and Japanese automotive companies.
