Cover Genius enters partnership, offers ‘cancel for any reason’ travel coverage

Travellers can now safeguard every aspect of their journey, from illness to public transport disruptions and extreme weather.

Insurtech CoverGenius announced a strategic partnership with Via.com, a subsidiary of Ebix and an online travel company with a presence in India and Southeast Asia (SEA). The collaboration aims to provide travellers with 'Cancel For Any Reason' (CFAR) protection.

Through the integration of Via.com with Cover Genius' globally acclaimed distribution platform, XCover, CFAR travel protection will be introduced in Indonesia. Research conducted by Momentive.ai, commissioned by Cover Genius, reveals that consumers prefer convenient embedded protection offers, with 75% of Indonesian travellers indicating a preference to purchase travel insurance from their travel provider for their upcoming trips.

The partnership with Via.com intends to deliver CFAR protection to travellers at a desirable price point, tailored to their specific needs.

Travellers can now safeguard every aspect of their journey, from illness to public transport disruptions and extreme weather, by adding XCover protection to their itineraries. 

The assurance of a refund in case of missed departures for any reason adds an extra layer of flexibility. XCover facilitates seamless claims processing in over 40 languages and more than 90 currencies, including Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian Rupiah, with a post-claims Net Promoter Score of +65‡.
