CTF Life rolls out expanded direct billing, Mainland doctor referral service
The billing covers 23 hospitals, whilst the referral enables customers to not pay upfront.
Chow Tai Fook Life Insurance Company Limited (CTF Life) expanded its direct billing service in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), increasing the number of partner hospitals to 23.
The insurer also announced that customers can also access the Hong Kong doctor referral service through the Mainland China inpatient support service.
Hospitals in GBA Chinese mainland cities that now support the direct billing service include University of Hong Kong Shenzhen Hospital, Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital, Guangzhou United Family Hospital, and The Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou), amongst others.
In the inpatient support, the GEA Healthcare Group (GBAH) will assist with clients’ booking appointments at hospitals in GBA cities, and arrange for hospitals to receive payment directly, so customers do not need to pay upfront, CTF Life said.
The coverage enhancements are launched in response to the growing demand for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatments.
The direct billing service also covers hospitals that are participating in the Hong Kong Government’s elderly healthcare voucher scheme. The service coverage spans all nine GBA Chinese mainland cities.
CTF Life incorporated TCM treatment coverage into its medical protection plans, such as MediChamp, TopCare, FlexiCare, ChampCare, and MediCare.
