Everest builds Asia team with new S’pore CEO and a head of insurance

Swee Keong Mah will be the Singapore branch’s new CEO and will report to Tomi Latva-Kiskola, who has been appointed as head of Insurance Asia.

Everest Insurance International, a division of Everest Group, has announced two key appointments to its senior leadership team in Asia. 

Swee Keong Mah, currently Interim Regional Head of Insurance, Asia, and Head of Legal, Asia Pacific, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Everest Insurance Singapore, reporting to Latva-Kiskola.

Tomi Latva-Kiskola will join as Head of Insurance, Asia, effective 5 February 2024, reporting to Scott Leney, Head of Asia Pacific, Everest Insurance International. 

Latva-Kiskola, previously President & CEO of AIG Insurance Hong Kong Limited, is known for transforming regional operations and improving business performance.

He also served as CEO in Thailand and provided senior advisory services to international clients in various sectors.

Before joining Everest in 2022, Mah held key roles, including Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance for Asia and the Middle East at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. 

Mah holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from the National University in Singapore and an MBA (Honors) from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
