Everest Insurance gets regulator nod for Singapore entity

This marks the global insurer's official entrance to the Asian market.

The insurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd, Everest Insurance, has been given regulatory approval by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to establish Everest Insurance Singapore.

This marks the firm's official entry into Asia.

Everest’s Singapore office will provide customized risk solutions in key sectors including commercial property, energy/power and construction, casualty, financial lines, accidents and health.

According to a press release, an eight-person team will helm the Singapore division, offering various specialty lines.
