Everest Re FY 2024 net income shrinks to $1.4b

Although, gross written premiums climbed 9.1% YoY.

Everest Group’s full-year 2024 net income dwindled to $1.4b, a 45.5% year-on-year (YoY) contraction.

Meanwhile, gross written premiums pencilled $18.2b, a 9.1% YoY increase. Reinsurance premiums grew by 12.2%, whilst insurance premiums rose by 4.0% on a comparable basis.  

Net investment income reached a record $2b, increasing by more than $500m from the prior year.
