Former Canopius underwriter moves to Sompo International

She will be based in Singapore and report to Paul O’Neill.

Sompo International has named Victoria Phillips (Sarjeant) as its new head of energy insurance in Asia Pacific (APAC).

Phillips has 17 years' worth of expertise in the London and Singapore markets. She will also be under the management of APAC president of commercial lines insurance, Paul O’Neill.

Based in Singapore, Philips hopes to build the APAC energy team.

Previously, she has worked with Canopius for over five years as an energy underwriter and with Marsh for more than seven years, holding the position of senior vice president in her last year.
