FWD Group completes stake in Gibraltar BSN

The Group and other investors now own 70% of the Malaysia insurer.

The FWD Group Holdings Limited announced its investment completion in Gibraltar BSN, equipping them to offer services in the Malaysian insurance market.

The Hong-Kong based insurer and other investors said earlier this year the “strategic” investment plan will entail a 70% majority stake in Gibraltar BSN, while the remaining 30% stake will be owned by Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).

Forward looking, the FWD Group and BSN will collaborate to push and develop Gibraltar BSN’s growth.

FWD Group can now provide full-service insurance offerings in Malaysia.
