FWD Group extends partnership with Microsoft to boost AI capabilities
The insurer will be using Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service.
FWD Group Holdings extended its partnership with Microsoft for four years, aiming to access the latest generative artificial intelligence (AI) innovations whilst supporting its cloud-first technology strategy.
By leveraging Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service and other enterprise-grade innovations, FWD Group plans to drive generative AI initiatives and benefit from Azure's private networking, monitoring, security capabilities, and advanced AI models.
Ryan Kim, Group Chief Digital Officer of FWD Group, highlighted their focus on digital innovation to transform the insurance experience in Asia's fastest-growing markets.
Bill Borden, Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Financial Services at Microsoft, emphasised its commitment to empowering customers in the Asia Pacific region responsibly.

FWD Group, which initiated its AI journey in 2019, currently applies nearly 200 active AI models across its business, spanning over 600 use cases, to enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.
