FWD Singapore introduces standalone cancer plan offering 100% payout
The plan offers a 100% lump-sum payout of the insured amount to customers diagnosed with major cancer.
FWD Singapore has introduced FWD Cancer 100 insurance, a comprehensive standalone cancer plan designed to cover cancer treatments outside the approved Cancer Drug List (CDL).
To enhance their cancer care services, FWD Singapore has partnered with Icon Cancer Centre, ensuring customers receive holistic and evidence-based care throughout their treatment journey, supported by the financial means provided by FWD Cancer 100.
The plan offers a 100% lump-sum payout of the insured amount to customers diagnosed with major cancer and undergoing treatments beyond the CDL.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) implemented changes to cancer drug treatment financing for integrated shield plans (IPs) on 1 April, limiting coverage to treatments listed on the government-approved CDL.

FWD Cancer 100 addresses this limitation by providing financial freedom for customers to choose the treatment that suits them best, even if it's not on the CDL. The plan is accessible online, and customers can seek advice from over 3,000 independent financial advisers.
The plan also offers complimentary medical second opinion consultations and pays for cancer consultations and treatments, up to S$6,000, without reducing the sum insured.
This allows individuals to make informed decisions and seek necessary treatments without worrying about compromising their insurance coverage.
