Generali expands corporate insurance in India

Shib Shankar Saha has been appointed as head of GC&C India.

Generali Group launched its Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) India business unit under Future Generali India Insurance, aiming to expand its presence in India’s fast-growing corporate and commercial insurance market.

Shib Shankar Saha has been appointed as head of GC&C India, reporting to Axel Roesner, Head of GC&C Asia.

GC&C India will offer tailored insurance solutions to medium and large enterprises, covering property, liability, financial lines, engineering, marine, cyber, and parametric insurance, along with risk advisory services.

Rob Leonardi, Regional Officer for Generali Asia, noted that this move represents a long-term investment in a market with strong growth potential.
